Graham Hurst - Sports Project Officer
I joined the Core Team of the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership in March 2010 in the new position of Sports Project Officer.
In 2006 I graduated from the University of Stirling with a Masters in Sport Studies. From here I worked as a Research and Knowledge consultant within the Culture, Sport and Lifestyle department of a Strategic Management Consultancy company in Glasgow. In this role I supported the preparation of strategies for National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) such as the FA, Scottish Cycling and the IRFU and also worked on Sports Development and Pitch strategies for Local Authorities.
My role with the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership will be to research, collate and promote potential sources of funding for clubs, coaches and volunteers as well as providing support with the funding application process. I will also be consulting with NGBs to ensure we have detailed information concerning their plans for Oxfordshire and that we have up to date knowledge of NGB clubs in our area. In addition I will be coordinating In the Zone, Oxfordshire's Education for Sport and Physical Activity directory that provides information on workshops for clubs, coaches and volunteers.
I enjoy playing cricket, badminton, tennis and football and am looking forward to helping the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership achieve its goals.
