There are two main programmes the Partnership offers to support clubs
1. Focus Club Programme Each March your National Governing Body officer will submit 2-3 clubs onto the focus club programme. Upon acceptance on the programme, the club will receive dedicated support to achieve accreditation with 12 months
2. Distance Support Programme This is a self-help and guidance programme driven by the clubs. To join this programme contact the Sports Club Development Officer. They will help you audit the club, develop an action plan and agree a time line to prepare the club for the submission to be accredited. The club will also be allocated a case officer to support the club with any questions.
How does my club achieve accreditation?
Stage 1: Check that your National Governing Body can award the accreditation.
Stage 2: Contact your National Governing Body and register with them that your club wishes to work towards accreditation.
Stage 3: Upon receipt of the criteria; compare what the club has in place and what it needs to do to meet the criteria. (Gap Analysis)
The Clubmark folder is generally set up in four sections
-
The Playing Programme
-
Duty of Care - Safeguarding Children
-
Sports Equity
-
Club Management
Stage 4: Action plan from the gap analysis, there may be areas that need further work.
Stage 5: Collate your evidence. Normally a file of evidence is submitted to the assessment officer.
Stage 6: Presenting your club as ready to be judged for accreditation. This is generally done by submitting the evidence file and having a visit from an assessor to view the club in action.
If you have any questions on accrediting your club you can contact your Local Authority Sports Development Team, National Governing Body Officers or the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership Core Team.
